The problem with doing this is depending on the keyframing, effects, etc. After adjusting the duration of that Comp, that would be the second half Composite Shot. After again using the Shortcut Ctrl-A to reselect everything again, grab them and drag them left to the first frame of the Composite Shot. Immediately hit the Delete Key, deleting all of the Layers that are in the front part of the Comp.
First, use the shortcut Ctrl-A to select everything, then use the Shortcut Shift-Ctrl-D to slice everything.
